A REALLY long time

Yeah.  A REALLY REALLY long time.  Life has gotten all crazy this past year.  I wont even go into the details.  I think most of you who read this are on facebook.  HaHa!  You know all my drama.

Can I just vent?  Seriously.  I have contacted a few fellow Baby Loss moms on facebook, I feel like I need to get on a soap box for a second.  Landon and I are doing memorial walk next saturday in memory of Vanessa.  We seriously have 5 people on our team and 4 of them are us and his mom.  Only ONE of my friends is going to support us.  ONE.  I am so hurt by this.  People have no issue with driving to my sons' birthday parties, but the second I mention Vanessa EVERYONE is busy, or sick, or cant, or just plain will tell me they dont want to...or dont return my calls.  You mention a child who is dead and they clam up.  Now, if said child lived it's ok.  The longer they lived the more ok it is....if they were miscarried...oh my goodness.  Dont even shed a thought on them!  UGH!  Tell me I'm NOT the only one who feels like this.  I seriously just want to sit a few people down and rant, but it's not really going to fix things.  Isnt this sort of thing what friends are supposed to be for?  To hold you when you are down?  To be there when you are hurt?  To listen?  To support?  Apparently not when your daughter has died.  Good Lord, Betty, it's been 2 and a half years.  You arent over that yet?  NO.

*end rant*

I'm so sorry. I've discovered the same. Every year since calypso died my mom has taken me and my kids to the Walk to Remember. I brought it up this year and she goes 'Well I guess but aren't you over this yet?'

NO! No I'm NOT over it!! MY CHILD IS DEAD and with her my ability to have MORE children!! I'm not OVER IT

Oh, how awful of her to say that! I'm so sorry! I suppose we should be thankful that they are so blissfully ignorant...but it would lovely to have support.
